i attended a meeting. and taught an english class. and ate tacos with a good friend. i admit that, even through the hardest parts, i am in wonderment of this place. of this life.

Tacos are definitely great and I love them too, but in El Salvador as in Rome you need to do what the locals do. Try Salvadoran Pupusas, juca con chicharrones o con chimbolos, or perhaps some warm pastelitos would be nice. Leave the tacos for the mercado del D.F. they are definitely highly recommended by yours truly.

Cayetano, thank you for the advise. having been here for 15 months, i have eaten about a thousand pupusas and love the local food. where i live, tacos are prevalent and are eaten by everyone. have you been to san cayetano in san vicente? i lived there for two months. EEF, you are the best. i love you.
